Here is a selection of awards, honors and recognitions awarded to past projects.
Real Estate Development Awards
In 1992 the Cedarspring Country Estates townhome project earned the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board for Best Project in its class – Multifamily over $200,000. The project was also commonly included in City of Abbotsford community tours for important visitors.
Also in 1992, Cedarspring Country Estates received an unsolicited commendation letter from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for our efforts to improve water quality in streams and protect fish. Specifically as developers we controlled an outfall that was eroding the site and washing silt downstream. Instead we created a large settlement pond/water feature that included gravel berms to capture silt and a series of control facilities to regulate peak water flow. While these kinds of systems are more common now, at the time our solutions were pretty revolutionary. We kept this letter framed in our sales center.
Our Cedarsprings project was an early winner of Georgie Awards sponsored by the Canadian Home Builders Association-BC Chapter.
As an little known developer in Abbotsford, we captured these awards for 1992 competing against large established builders like Polygon and Bosa.
